What, in essence they are doing is re-designing the attachment point of the rear derailleur. This means that the design of bikes derailleur hangers are simply different than what they are now in order to fit the new design of the rear derailleur. Bikes will still have derailleur hangers, but they can now be made stronger and stiffer. It would be nice to see Shimano attempt and encourage a new standard amongst ALL manufacturers (aka SRAM) so that people aren't left out in the cold trying to figure out what derailleur and hanger combo they will need for their bikes!

They're saying mid-may delivery, but I'm not even seeing any part numbers from the suppliers yet. I'll be curious to see when these actually start showing up in Canada! looks promising, I've always loved Easton bars, and this is finally something I can see being put to good use on my bike!

Why does Scott even bother making bikes. There's nothing here that even merits a discussion, just more garbage from a company looking to make a few bucks. On another note, the new Saint does look interesting, I'd love to get more info on that!

To be honest, i'm actually quite disappointed in this whole competition. There are very few designs here that I feel have much merit, or potential to become a viable product. There is very little innovation in any of these designs, and many are based on existing product already on the market. I was really hoping to see something new and innovative that could really have an impact on the cycling industry. As of right now, the only real product I can see making it to market would be the Thomson post I-beam adapter. I myself would actually purchase one of these, and I know there are plenty of others out there that would get their hands on this. Also, the predictive suspension is interesting, and I could see that going somewhere in the hands of the right people. but the technology isn't quite there yet.

you do realize that this is almost identical to the system that is currently being used by Devinci? you may have to be careful about infringement on their design (and Dave Weagle)
